Xiaomi India has officially unveiled the Redmi Watch Move, its first locally manufactured smartwatch, priced competitively at ₹1,999. Designed with a focus on everyday fitness and wellness, this smartwatch blends smart functionality with a sleek, durable design—marking a significant stride in Xiaomi’s push towards domestic production.
Equipped with a 1.85-inch AMOLED display offering 600 nits of brightness, Always-On Display, and 2.5D curved glass, the watch delivers both clarity and style. With support for over 140 workout modes and 98.5% tracking accuracy, it’s powered by Xiaomi’s robust R&D to cater to active lifestyles.
Health features include heart rate, SpO₂, stress, sleep (including REM), and menstrual cycle tracking. Commenting on the launch, Anuj Sharma, CMO, Xiaomi India, said:
“The Redmi Watch Move brings together what matters most to Indian users—reliable performance, accurate fitness tracking, and a stylish, comfortable design. As our first Made-in-India smartwatch, it reflects our deep commitment to local innovation.”
The watch comes with a TPU strap for all-day comfort, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, Bluetooth calling, Hindi language interface, and integration with Xiaomi HyperOS for features like task reminders and weather updates.
With a 14-day battery life and Ultra Battery Saver Mode, it’s built to last through the busiest schedules. The Redmi Watch Move will be available from May 1 on Mi.com, Flipkart, and Xiaomi Retail, in four colours: Black Drift, Blue Blaze, Silver Sprint, and Gold Rush. Pre-bookings start from April 24.
This launch further strengthens Xiaomi’s mission to deliver tech innovations that are “Made in India, Made for India.”
